Sunset on summer
There’s no denying that summer is over. It seems like barely any time since we were writing about midsummer but autumn has crept up on us. All the tell tale signs are there: less daylight; the leaves on the trees are turning orange and falling to the ground; the heating is on; there are fewer guests, especially from overseas.
The end of summer also means that we’ve made it through our first peak season! You may remember that we swapped office jobs to become hostel owners so the first few months were always going to be hard work as we learned on the job. So, what do we know now that we didn’t then?
We are open year round. But over the autumn and winter we hope to catch up on some sleep, get out and about climbing mountains and riding our bikes, go to the cinema and recharge our batteries ready for next summer.
